SASR desert warrior

The Aussie SASR is a direct clone or brother unit of the British SAS. With this in mind the Australian SASR rank as one of the most dangerous Special forces unit in the world. The British SAS are already credited with being probably the best in the world. They have recieved this title for many reasons. One is their awesome track record and two would be the fact that they wrote the book on special ops. Many other special ops units tried to copy but fell short of the mark. If you consider those facts Aussie SASR are probably the only one who match the skill and ablities of the British SAS.

The only special ops unit that comes close to the SAS and SASR would be Delta Force. Delta force is only as good as it because their combat doctrine has been taken directly from the SAS all thanks to Colonel Charles "Chargin' Charlie" Beckwith and his expirence with the SAS. Delta was formed in 1977 by the legendary Special Forces commando Col. Charles "Chargin' Charlie" Beckwith. In 1962 Beckwith, who was then a Special Forces sergeant, was chosen to spend a year with 22 SAS under an exchange program. During his tour he became aware of some serious shortcomings in the way the US Special Forces functioned.

This pic has been made because it is attributed to the greatness of the Aussie SASR and as a remake of a previous pic that had some glaring errors. In this pic the SASR trooper is armed with an M4a5 RIS carbine which was issued to all of them instead of the aussie standard FN-AUG carbine. One thing that should be noted about the SAS and the SASR: they basicly have their own sense of fashion on the battlefield and don't give a damn about battle uniform regs, much like the guy I drew who is whereing a scarf over head to keep the sand off is face much like the locals.
